The only way to get it out of gear is rock it back and forth while the wife pulls on the shift lever. P2872 is Clutch "A" stuck engaged. If replacing the actuator made a difference then I would think that it's the actuator but not necessarily. It might also be a bad clutch fork or a bad ground somewhere. Otherwise, it's the TCM and that's actually quite common with this code.
